LAKE DISTRICT RETREAT 


I have lived near the Lake District all my life, it's one of my favourite get away places. Some weekends I like to retreat into the countryside and indulge on the beautiful surroundings and nice luxurious food places in the area.

The views are sublime, the food places are to die for and the walks are great too, if you haven't already been you NEED to visit the Lake District.

Despite living only half an hour away, I have never really known where to go, or what's on in the Lakes as there's no advertising and relying on word of mouth is not ideal either, until I found this great app for iPhone's called the Windermere App. I was so excited when I stumbled across it, as it has so many different businesses on the app, which you can scroll through and read more about.

Its a really useful guide to the lake district, where you can look into different hotels, restaurants and places to visit. I never realized about half the events and places to visit before I found this app. Since finding it, I've stayed in some fabulous boutique hotels and visited some amazing restaurants and been on some phenomenal walks.

 There's a Facebook page and a twitter account affiliated with the app and they post really exciting and regular updates on different events. The posts are mainly about whats going on in the Lakes and which are the best places to visit. It's been so useful and I'm so grateful I've found this little gem, so it's my duty to share it with you all.
